Are you familiar with the water taxi boat cruises? This season might seem a little different, but there’s still plenty to be excited about.
Learn how you can book a trip for you and your family on the Holiday Lights Cruise happening this month in Fort Lauderdale.
Traveling during the holiday season might seem out of reach right now. However, more South Florida families are enjoying staycations together.
That’s why the Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi is making it even easier for locals to create memories with family and friends through the Holiday Lights Cruise.
From now until December 30th, you can pre-purchase your tickets online and enjoy live music with the family. Cruises run 1.5 hours and are operating safely at 50% capacity. The staff and guests are required to wear a mask on the Double Decker boat.

What To Expect
If you’re planning a trip with the family, then I recommend bringing a blanket. Although South Florida is known for beautiful weather, there are nights the temperature will drop.
You can always layer up with your favorite Christmas sweater to avoid bringing anything extra on your trip.
The Holiday Lights Cruise has holiday-themed adult and kid-friendly drinks at the bar, and complimentary popcorn for the show. The kids loved the peppermint hot cocoa — it comes with marshmallows!
Holiday Lights Cruise Schedule
With tickets at $35 per adult (ages 12+) and $15 per child (ages 2-11), this event is a great experience gift idea for the family to enjoy together. The boat departs from Riverside Hotel + Stranahan House via 335 SE 6th AVE.
It’s conveniently across from The Cheesecake Factory. I recommend grabbing dinner before you head over to your trip in the evening.
The boat ride was at 6:30 PM, so we went for dinner around 4:30. This way we’d have time to eat something before heading out.
If you’re interested in gifting someone with a trip, you can purchase a gift card here. This would make a wonderful experience for the family or couples to enjoy together.
