Plan time for yourself this week with these inexpensive self-care ideas that are great for a spa day at home. These self-care activities are great for stressed moms.

There’s nothing more exciting than making time for yourself throughout the day. One of the things I like to do is to set aside 15-20 minutes daily for myself.
Regardless of how the day starts or how it will end, knowing that I’ve made time for myself makes it easier to focus on others as well.
Why?
Taking time for yourself can be a blessing when you’re feeling overwhelmed. It’s been my secret to finding happiness in everyday things.

Why Invest In Self-Care
When you make time daily for yourself, you’re investing in your sanity. You won’t be able to properly care for others if you’re not feeling your best.
Take it from a former overworked mama. It’s not a pretty sight when you continue to place your needs at the bottom of your To-Do list.
Investing in self-care means making yourself a priority. It’s not selfish to do this — it’s necessary.
By placing your needs before someone else’s, you’re giving yourself the time you deserve. You know the saying, “you can’t fill from an empty cup”? Well, it’s true.
You deserve the same (if not more) attention than you give others. Start making time for yourself.
With time, you’ll notice a change in your everyday life. You’ll even feel refreshed and excited to take on the day.
What Is A Good Self-Care Routine
Creating a self-care routine depends on what are your needs. It’s easy to focus on taking a nap or going to sleep earlier here and there.
Once you’ve made it a habit to sprinkle self-care into your day, then you’ll realize how important it is to invest in yourself.
When you create a good self-care routine that works for you and gives you more of the things you lack.
How To Select A Self-Care Day During The Week
A busy week might seem like your least favorite time to focus on self-care. However, this is when you’ll need it the most.
Setting aside a moment or two throughout the day is a great reminder of why time for yourself is important. It doesn’t have to cost you most of the day either.

What Are Some Self-Care Ideas
Inexpensive self-care are everywhere. From simply relaxing outdoors to taking the long way home from food shopping.
From cheap self-care items to self-care gifts from Amazon, there’s no reason why you can’t plan ahead and book an appointment with yourself. Canceling your plans will cost you too much
Start thinking of time for yourself as the most important meeting you’ve ever had to plan. Once you get a taste of the self-care benefits, you’ll never want to miss an appointment.
One of the ways I like to book time for myself during the week is by setting themes. For instance, Monday is Mommy Monday, Friday is Family Movie Night, and Saturday is Self-Care Saturday.
Knowing the theme for each day, I have a better understanding of what I’d like to accomplish for myself and the family. Mommy Monday means it’s all about setting up the week for myself.
Planning out the meals, getting laundry set up for the week, and creating a work schedule for the next few days are all part of my Monday routine. Organizing myself for a stress-free week is part of my self-care routine.
Family Movie Night on Friday is a reminder that the kids will be up late and we’ll enjoy some extra time together before the weekend begins. It’s exciting to pick out a movie to watch and plan snacks for our main event.
Saturday is probably one of the busiest days for me and yet the most exciting. Tackling the things I didn’t get a chance to complete during the week can be liberating.
The kids help around the house as well since most of the mess is their doing.

Inexpensive Self-Care Ideas For Skincare
Removing the dirt from the day is as simple as a bedtime shower. Your skin craves water — it actually needs it more than anything else.
Replenishing your skin and cleansing it daily — even two to three times a day — can be a blessing to your skincare routine. This is important for your face as well.
If you’re looking for ways to help yourself or a friend improve their self-care routine, then you might want to invest in some products.
My inexpensive self-care ideas for a bedtime skincare routine includes the following items:
- Hemp oil soap;
- Micellar cleansing water
- Lavender oil; and
- Reusable cotton round pads.
My bedtime skincare routine starts with washing my face with hemp oil soap. Then, I use a round cotton pad to apply the micellar cleansing water.
With two cotton pads, I safely remove any makeup residue from my forehead line. I use the second pad throughout my face.
Then, I take a clean cotton pad and dampen it with water. Using one to two drops of lavender oil, I wipe down my face.
While I brush my teeth, I let my face airy dry. It’s an easy step that helps it sit on my face.
Most nights I apply this bedtime exfoliant. It’s one that can be left on overnight.

Self-Care Gifts For Family And Friends
Baskets are a great way to give someone (or a family) a treat for them to enjoy. It’s one of my go-to holiday gift ideas.
Creating a self-care gift basket is like giving a friend or family member time for themselves. It’s a great way to remind them of how much they mean to you. I do this for my husband and myself every year.
The holidays can be stressful, and self-care activities are always in style. With everything going on during the holiday season, you’ll need moments to yourself.

If you’re looking for ways to gift someone with a self-care kit they can enjoy, then give the following 7 items a look:
A handy water bottle to stay hydrated during the day.
An exfoliating brush to help care for your skin.
A facial cleanser for sensitive skin to freshen up your face.

Your time is valuable, and so is the time you spend alone. It’s not selfish to think you need to take extra time during the day to sit back and appreciate a good book or by listening to a favorite song.
