Finding the right balance between eating right and treating yourself here and there can be tough. I would know, I often lean towards treating myself.

After a long day with the boys, I find myself opting for snacks to help with cravings. I did this a lot during my last pregnancy and I developed gestational diabetes.

Those words from the doctor scared me. I had never heard of “pregnancy diabetes”, and knowing that it also meant I was at risk of developing diabetes in the future was terrifying.

Caring For Yourself Beyond Pregnancy
My doctors weren’t the only ones telling me I should be taking care of myself, but they gave me the scare I needed to put myself first. As moms, we often think about caring for others before ourselves. That’s our downfall. In fact, we need to take better care of our well being to be able to care for others.

The scare was enough to make me realize there’s more to parenting than the mundane stuff. There are so many reasons why I want to continue to care for myself aside from being able to care for our little ones. I want to be able to show our kids what it means to love yourself. Doing so gives you the foundation to all relationships in your life.

So, where does Weight Watchers® come in?

I’m glad you asked.

With the help of Weight Watchers snacks, I’m able to tame those unhealthy cravings with better options from their line of products. Take for instance the Weight Watchers® Ice Cream Novelties available at Walmart.

These Weight Watchers® snack size Divine Triple Chocolate Ice Cream Bars are perfect for those of you who love a variety of chocolate ice creams. It has it all mixed into one bar! They’re individually wrapped to offer portion control, made from low-fat milk, and are under 100 calories. You can click here to find out which of the Weight Watchers® Ice Cream Novelties are available at your local Walmart.

Aside from the ice cream treats, there’s another Weight Watchers® option waiting for you to try. It’s the JOLLY TIME® Healthy Pop® Popcorn endorsed by Weight Watchers®. With only 100 calories in every pack, this snack is the only popcorn that is endorsed by Weight Watchers®. Another perk is that it’s non-GMO and gluten-free.

Sharing Made Easy
When it comes to snacks, I often find myself sharing them with the kids — and not always by choice. It’s good to know that the snacks I’m choosing are not only helping me on this health journey but is setting the standards for the little ones as well.

With low-calorie snacks like the Weight Watchers® snack size Divine Triple Chocolate Ice Cream Bars and JOLLY TIME® Healthy Pop® Popcorn endorsed by Weight Watchers®, I feel less guilty about the things I’m putting into my body. More so while I’m breastfeeding our newborn or spending time with our boys outdoors or watching a movie during family night.

It goes to show that when you’re caring for yourself, you’re also making a conscious decision to help others, too.

How do you tame your cravings?

  1. I can’t believe there’s only 100 calories in these. I’m on a weight loss journey to lose 20 pounds this year. The problem is, I have a sweet tooth and want chocolate on a daily basis. This would help me stay on track and have my chocolate too.

  2. I love eating fruit pops that are made with fresh fruit. Strawberry is my favorite flavor. I love snacking on popcorn too. My favorite brand is Smartfood Popcorn. I love their white cheddar popcorn and cheddar and caramel mix popcorn.

  3. I have been thinking about resigning up for Weight Watchers. I used it in high school and I like how I can still eat and enjoy life without being completely restricted.

  4. Wow, this is my first time to learn about this. I cannot believe that it is low calorie. I guess, now this time I have to watch out with my intakes as well. I need to check its availability so I can try this out.
